Lecture conducted in the room, using PowerPoint presentations, slide shows, and teaching videos ((previously published to participants on google drive).
Individual meetings are devoted to presentation, analysis and discussion and fall into the following catalog of topics: on the following topics:
1. Features of agriculture in the tropics
2. The most important crop plants grown in tropical countries
3. Features of settlement and economy in rural areas of developing countries
4. Human activities in rural areas in various fragments of equatorial forests (including West Papua, India, Congo, Amazonia)
5. Human activities in rural areas in the savannas and semi-deserts ((Kenya, Botswana, Swaziland)
6. Human activities in rural areas in high mountains (Pakistan - Karakorum, Andes)
7. Human activities in rural areas in the cold tundra and taiga (Siberia)
8. Human activities in rural areas in deserts (Sinkiang - Taklamakan)
9. Human activities in rural areas on the islands based on the example of Madagascar and Tahiti
10. Transformation of rural areas under the influence of tourism (India)
11. Natural and non-natural conditions of human activity in rural areas - summary
: 1 ECTS (30 hours) - hours in direct contact with the lecturers, i.e. participation in classes, 1 ECTS (30 hours) - student's own contribution, including 15 hours. reading the literature, 15 preparation of presentation

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, results in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes are expected:
Knowledge
Characteristics of life and economy features in environments in various climate and plant zones as well as in astreph environments on the globe.
Knowledge about how to adapt the community to natural and cultural conditions
Skills
Developing skills in interpreting the relationship between man and the natural and cultural environment, and comparing these relationships in different regions of the globe
Developing skills of independent search and analysis of relevant information
attitudes
Developing an analytical attitude and the ability to perceive the world as a complex natural and social system. Shaping an attitude of respect for the culture of other peoples. Shaping tolerance towards representatives of other cultural and civilization circles.
Assessment criteria
The final evaluation consists of the evaluation of the paper (25% of the component) and test (25%) and two written summaries of the sections (25% each)
Credit on the basis of papers presented in class, test and two written summaries. Taken into account is also active in conversational classes.
A maximum of two absences allowed.
The student, if necessary, should participate in consultations, learn to pass, prepare a presentation, write a test.
