Forgiveness or Punishment. The role of criminal law in life and science 1600-SZD-SPEC-KW-PR
The lecture will revolve around the question of the importance of criminal law for the society. Particular attention will also be paid to the question of the limits of criminal law and what criteria should determine whether a given behavior is prohibited. The basis of criminal liability will be discussed, taking into account the category of the act and the danger of the perpetrator as the sources of criminal liability. The lecture will also present the role of criminal law science in the development of this branch.

Assessment criteria
Description of requirements related to participation in classes, including the
permitted number of explained absences: Stationary participation in classes; 2 allowable absences.
Principles for passing the classes and the subject (including resit session): active participation in classes by asking questions and formulatingconclusions.
Methods for the verification of learning outcomes: Learning outcomes are verified by observation and interview.
Evaluation criteria: - proper formulation and implementation of substantive and methodological assumptions;- degree of activity and involvement.
