(in Polish) Fotografia w geologii; Geologia w fotografii 1300-WFGGF
During the classes, the history and development of photography will be presented, with particular emphasis on the development of applied and documentary photography in geological research, both field and laboratory. The basic principles of creating photographs for the use of geological sciences will be presented, in many aspects of the use of contemporary and archival photographic techniques. Students will have the opportunity to learn both the principles of creating strictly "geological" photography, as well as expand (or acquire from scratch) knowledge about photography in a broader sense. The possibility of using all types of photography - including amateur, souvenir and even artistic - for the purposes of interpretation and obtaining information that can be used in geological research will be presented, with particular attention. The basics of creating a photographic archive (private as well as for specific research or utility purposes) and the basic principles of using photographic material in various forms of public presentation will be presented. Additionally, it is possible to organize off-site photography workshops, in which participation will be voluntary - willing participants will be able to practice old and modern photographic techniques as well as learn about the possibilities of using photography in the practice of geologist's activities in the field.
