Geophysics as a modern and fast tool in obtaining hydrogeological data 1300-SP-GNNDH
During the theoretical part (lecture), the student learns the physical basis of geophysical methods used to obtain hydrogeological data. Data from geophysical measurements performed for the purpose of hydrogeological mapping, identification of hydrogeological conditions for the need to construct an intake (well), estimation of the location of the groundwater table, identification of the hydrogeological window, mapping and monitoring of groundwater contamination will also be presented.
The aim of the exercises is to use theoretical knowledge to process, analyze, visualize and interpret geophysical data. Students will work on field data from measurements:
- by vertical electrofusion probing;
- by electrofusion tomography;
- refraction seismic method;
- GPR method.
The practical task of each class block will be to prepare a report.
Students will also take part in geophysical field research.
