Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should know the main tectonic structures and to find relationships between them. The object is to arouse curiosity of young researchers, indicate ambiguities in the interpretation and attempts to solve the problems of tectonic.
Educational outcomes
Knowledge:
– student understands complex natural phenomena and processes occurring in lithospheric plates;
– the interpretation of natural phenomena and processes is based on empirical foundations, fully understanding the meaning of mathematical and statistical methods using in tectonics and structural geoology;
– student has knowledge in the field of problems in selected fields of science and scientific disciplines and potential directions of practical use of research achievements discussed in the directional literature;
– student has knowledge of the principles of research planning and technological processes based on the achievements of science and scientific disciplines, relevant to the studied field of study.
Skills:
– student uses advanced techniques and technological processes specific to the fields of science and scientific disciplines, relevant to the studied field of study and based on these areas of socio-economic activity;
– student understands literature in the fields of science and scientific disciplines relevant to the studied field of study in Polish, reads with understanding uncomplicated scientific and technical texts in a foreign language;
– student has the skill of critical analysis and selection
information, especially from electronic sources;
Social competence:
– student understands the need to learn throughout life;
– student understands the need to raise professional and personal competences.
