Hydrogeological designing and documenting 1300-OPDH4CW
The lecture is designed to acquaint students with:
characteristics of groundwater circulation zones within hydrogeological system
types of water intakes, including a groundwater intake
levels of administration associated with groundwater resources
hydrogeological parameters of aquifers and properties of aquitards and aquitards
a geological project of a groundwater intake (gaining and evaluation of the input data, project assumptions, a technical project, legal aspects related to the projections)
practical aspects related to the hydrogeological supervision of groundwater intake construction
hydrogeological drilling methods
types of drilled wells, their construction (pipes, a filter)
methods of conducting a cleaning and a pumping test and interpretation of the results (calculations the hydrogeological parameters of aquifer and determination of exploitation resources)
determination of efficiency of old ones and new groundwater intakes and the improvement methodology
methodology for calculating the resource area and well interaction,
project of well renovation or elimination of wells
documenting exploitation resources of groundwater
types of hydrogeological documentation for resources or determining hydrogeological conditions, for example connected with a projection of the investment, that could make worse environmental state or dewatering
Classes are concentrated on:
methodology of measurements and observations during a pumping test
practical realization of a pumping test of the selected well (Quaternary or Oligocene) at the Research Station of the Faculty of Geology
determination of the permeability coefficient using a pumping test for the analysis of steady flow
determination of the hydrodynamic parameters of aquifers based on analysis of unsteady flow
methodology of determination of well efficiency parameters
preparation of the data for a project of geological work of a groundwater intake
realisation a project of geological work of well
