Learning outcomes
After the exercises, the student - is able to construct a database of information and values characteristic of individual elements and processes of the oil system and perform a critical analysis of the possibility of hydrocarbon deposits in a given area
- knows how to perform a risk analysis taking into account all geological and petroleum elements that characterize a specific area - can make a financial model of exploration and production costs with the possible obtained profit for a given oil investment.
K_W04 - knows the conditions and processes leading to the formation of useful mineral deposits
K_W05 - knows the applicable balance sheet criteria specific to given minerals, has knowledge of mineral resources K_W06 - knows the principles of forecasting and determining prospective areas for useful mineral deposits, methods of making deposits available and exploitation
K_W07 - knows the resources of mineral resources of Poland, their genesis and places of occurrence
K_W09 - knows the electronic geological databases and programs necessary to develop research results
K_W14 - knows the relationships on the global and domestic mineral raw materials market
K_U05 - knows how to independently analyze collected scientific material, interpret results and draw appropriate conclusions
K_U06 - knows how to determine the genesis of mineral deposits and the processes leading to its formation
K_U08 - knows how to choose the right exploration methods for mineral deposits, knows the rules of exploitation and access to deposits
K_U10 - knows how to choose specific computer techniques to solve issues in the field of geology
K_U11 - knows how to present his / her research results in the form of a short oral presentation and written work
K_U14 - knows how to determine the role of organic compounds in nature and processes related to the formation of energy resources

Assessment criteria
The grade for the exercises is issued on the basis of the semester report. The principles of preparing the report will be discussed during the introductory classes. At least 50% of the possible points must be obtained from the report.
