Introduction to Metalo-Organic Chemistry: Applications in Organic Synthesis 1200-2MON31L
This course, entitled "Introduction to organometallic chemistry" presents a set of basic and semi-advanced topics from the area of organometallic chemistry and catalysis. Selected applications of this methodology in the synthesis of advanced natural and biologically active compounds will be indicated. During the course the basics of organometallic chemistry, such as ligands classes and the formation of organometallic compounds of alkali, alkaline earth and transition metals will be discussed. Reactivity of these compounds will be discussed, with emphasis on the applications of transition metal complexes in organic synthesis.
