Chemistry didactics laboratory 1200-2LDCH2P
The main goal of the course is to develop in students the skills of planning, preparation of safe performance of chemical experiments provided for in the process of implementing the chemistry curriculum at primary and secondary school. Ways to familiarize the student with the properties of hazardous substances will be presented. Methods and rules for creating safety data sheets for students. Health and safety principles will be discussed when implementing students to safely perform laboratory exercises. The methods of safe student activation will be analyzed, including group work and independent laboratory work of the student. Will be trained to correctly describe the observed phenomena, formulate conclusions and create notes. As part of the laboratory, students perform and develop chemical experiments provided for in primary and secondary school curricula. Including, for example, obtaining gases and testing their properties, reactions and obtaining oxides, acids, hydroxides, salts and complex compounds. They get to know and perform independent experiments including redox reactions, electrochemistry, kinetics and equlibium experiments. In the descriptions of performed experiments, students take into account the principles of safety when working with reagents.
