Islamic Art and Architecture 3600-AR-IAA-OG

The course aims to offer an engaging introduction to major works of Islamic art, with a focus on Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Mughal art and architecture. Students will explore the forms, iconography, and ornamentation characteristic of Islamic art, as well as the techniques used in the creation of specific objects. The material is presented chronologically, from pre-Islamic origins to modern developments.
