Photo-and Mobile-Journalism. Practical Workshop 2700-ERASMUS-PMJ
NowadaysNowadays all journalist tools we need we have in our smartphones. We have a notebook, a photo-camera, a video-camera and a voice recorder. Are we able to use the at their best?
The aim of the course is to again ability to create condensed but informationfull visual messages using our camera or smartphones.
During the workshop classes we will practice:
visual composition
basic rules of pictures postproduction
constructing captions
creating messages containing text and photo
making a visual story while traveling through Warsaw
We will visit important photo exhibitions being held in Warsaw

Efekty kształcenia
After completing the course, student create visual journalist messages combining photography and short texts. To this goal, it has the following competences:
Knowledge:
- knows composition rules
- knows how to take pictures of best quality
- knows the crucial ingredients
- knows 6 fundamental questions of newswriting
- knows the differences between photojournalism and photodocumentary
Skills:
- can postproduce photographs
- can think critically and communicate his/her thougths in visual way
- can build short or long story basing on own pictures
- can discuss reknowned photographic pictures
Kryteria oceniania
Evaluation is based on:
- class attendance
- fullfilling three photojournalist assignements
- final presentation and discussion
