1. Introduction to management of logistics processes in food industry:
- logistics processes within FMCG enterprise and supply chain
- objectives of logistics processes,
- determinants of logistics processes
- analysis, measurement and efficiency of logistics processes.
2. Supply chain management in food systems:
- integration logistics processes in the full supply chain,
- defining the logistic resources and balancing the differences - definition of the required potential of flows in the supply chain.
3. Design, implementation and management of logistics processes and supply chain in food systems:
- design of logistics processes: purchasing and procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, storage, distribution, transport. Procedures and instructions of logistics processes,
- seeking and analysis of disturbances and bottlenecks, downtime and queues in the system of logistics processes and supply chain,
- analysis of the value process and supply chain (value stream mapping),
- building and changing organizational structures managing over logistics processes,
- mapping of competence in logistics processes and supply chain: competences and responsibilities of processes owners and relations between them;
- information systems supporting logistics management.

After completing the course students:
K_W01 know and understand the concepts of logistics management and the place of logistics in management
K_W02 know and understand the principles and procedures of logistics management in organizations and elements of logistics infrastructure
K_W05 know and understand the phenomena and processes occurring in the sphere of logistics in the food system
K_U01 can and are able to recognise and diagnose problems in logistics processes and propose appropriate logistics solutions
K_U02 can and are able to interpret the influence of phenomena occurring in the environment of logistic organizations on their functioning
K_U04 can and are able to design solutions for supply chain management and distribution channels for communicative market situations and disseminate the effect of their work communicatively and debate in English
K_U06 can and are able to plan and organize own work and team work
K_U07 can and are able to self-educate and improve qualifications in the field of supply chain management
K_K01 are ready to critically express opinions and discuss the issues of supply chain management
K_K02 are ready to take responsibility for the impact of logistic activities on the environment.
K_K03 are ready to show creativity in designing and implementing the principles of systemic thinking
K_K04 are ready to develop the achievements of the discipline and sustain the ethos of the profession

5% - activity during classes
45% - tasks performed in classes
50% - logistics project performed in teams (max. 3 persons).
