Power, Trade, and Diplomacy: EU Engagement with India and South Asia 2100-ERASMUS-PTDE
This course explores the European Union’s interaction with India and South Asia through the frameworks of power, trade, and diplomacy. It considers the EU’s position as a global actor and its developing strategic partnership with India amid changing global power structures and the rise of a multipolar world order.
The course addresses major areas of collaboration, such as trade negotiations, connectivity projects, security policy, and climate diplomacy. It also places EU–India relations within a wider regional context by examining the EU’s ties with other South Asian countries and the role of key powers like China and the United States.
