Research Ethics: Research Data Management and the Researcher’s Responsibility for the Use of Research Results 1800-SZD-NP-ETWAR-6
The classes are designed for doctoral students and aim to introduce them to the basics of research ethics. During the workshop, the following topics will be discussed: integrity in research documentation (data collection, data management, and sharing results); the precautionary principle in relation to scientific development; preventing the improper use of research results (misuse, dual use); scientific misconduct related to data fabrication or falsification. The workshop will take the form of a brief presentation, followed by discussions and case study exercises in groups.

THE GRADUATE KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS

conducting research in an independent manner
respecting the principle of public ownership of scientific results, respecting the principle of the public ownership of academic research results.
Kryteria oceniania
This workshop is a part of a Research Ethics course that is assessed on a pass/fail basis through an online test; participation in the workshop is a prerequisite for taking the test; the workshop is assessed based on class participation and involvement in group activities (discussion, case study).
