Biochemistry Laboratory 1200-2EN-BIOCHLA1M
The classes are conducted in a biochemistry laboratory in the form of practical experiments performed individually or in small groups. Each class is preceded by a short theoretical introduction and a discussion of safety procedures related to working with chemical reagents and biological materials.
Students are required to prepare theoretically for the classes, perform experiments according to the provided instructions, take notes using a template supplied by the instructor, and prepare written reports on the experiments carried out.
Estimated student workload during the semester – 50 hours total
• 30 hours – participation in laboratory classes
• 10 hours – preparation for each class
• 10 hours – preparation of laboratory reports

• general principles of creating and developing forms of individual entrepreneurship based on knowledge in the field of chemistry.
SKILLS: Upon completion of the course, the student is able to
K_U01, K_U10
• use biochemical techniques and apply simple biological processes in chemistry and technology;
• present the results of their own research in the form of a self-prepared written work (report, thesis), including a description and justification of the aim of the work, the adopted methodology, the results, and a discussion of their significance in the context of other similar studies.
Kryteria oceniania
The final grade is based on the written or oral assessment of the student’s theoretical preparation for the exercise, the performance of the exercise, and the written scientific report on the experiment.
