second cycle programme full-time, 2-year studies Language: Polish | Jump to: Opis ogólnyOgólna charakterystyka Studia euroazjatyckie są odpowiedzią na rosnące potrzeby Polski i Unii Europejskiej, które poszukują specjalistów w zakresie badań porównawczych ustrojów i systemów politycznych, ekonomicznych, społecznych i kulturowych państw Eurazji (poradzieckich: Rosji, państw Europy Wschodniej, Azji Centralnej i Kaukazu oraz państw Bliskiego Wschodu). Państwa te niezależnie od tego, czy i w jakim stopniu będą zainteresowane integracją z UE, będą z tą organizacją współpracować. Z różnym natężeniem i w różnym zakresie będą wdrażać reformy, zmierzające do zwiększenia ich pozycji politycznej i konkurencyjności ekonomicznej w świecie. Dlatego też obie części naszego kontynentu eurazjatyckiego są zdane nie tyle na współistnienie, co na współpracę. Olbrzymią rolę w tej współpracy mogą spełnić absolwenci studiów magisterskich na kierunku studia euroazjatyckie, specjaliści wykształceni na Wydziale Nauk Politycznych i Studiów Międzynarodowych. Studia przeznaczone są dla osób z tytułem zawodowym licencjata, inżyniera, magistra dowolnego kierunku studiów i są realizowane w formie stacjonarnej. Kwalifikacja na studia odbywa się na podstawie rozmowy predyspozycyjnej. Studia trwają cztery semestry. Program studiów obejmuje zarówno historię wybranych państw, ich konfliktów zbrojnych, elementy ich polityki zagranicznej, transformację systemów politycznych jak i przedmioty odnoszące się do etnopolityki, kultury w ujęciu socjologicznym i politycznym, czy kształtowania elit politycznych i przywództwa politycznego. Na atrakcyjność programu wpływa również możliwość doboru przedmiotów zgodnie z zainteresowaniami studenta i pogłębienie studiów w zakresie wybranego obszaru Rosji i Europy Wschodniej, Azji Centralnej i Kaukazu lub Bliskiego Wschodu. Zajęcia odbywają się od poniedziałku do piątku w godzinach 800 -2000, głównie na terenie Kampusu Centralnego Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego przy ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście. Sylwetka absolwenta Absolwent posiada wiedzę na temat mechanizmów funkcjonowania władzy politycznej, ruchów politycznych i grup nacisku, współczesnych wyzwań wybranych państw w perspektywie krajowej i międzynarodowej oraz ma umiejętność identyfikowania realnych i potencjalnych zagrożeń występujących w sferze politycznej. Absolwent jest przygotowany do pracy w ośrodkach analiz politologicznych, wykonywania funkcji eksperta i doradcy oraz komentatora życia politycznego, szczególnie w odniesieniu do wybranych państw Europy Wschodniej, Azji Centralnej, Kaukazu i Bliskiego Wschodu. Learning outcomes
Knowledge: the graduate knows and understands
– the material and methodological nature of social sciences and Eurasian studies as well as their connection with other sciences, in particular the human sciences;
– the civilisational (including religious) determinants of social life in the Euroasian borderland area;
– the history of the Eurasian area and the variety of historiographical interpretations of its history, along with the history of the common political thought of the East;
– the essence, nature, specificity and variability of political, constitutional and legal, social and economic institutions and processes in the Eurasian reality;
– the nature, essence and forms of different levels of social life organisation (including the countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus);
– the essence of international relations, their complexity and challenges, including the determinants of security in the Eurasian borderland area;
– the basic economic, ethical and legal conditions of professional activity and entrepreneurship as well as the notions and principles in the field of intellectual property and copyright law protection and the necessity of intellectual property management.
Skills: the graduate is able
– to independently acquire knowledge and develop professional skills, innovatively perform tasks in diversified conditions, using various sources (in Polish and foreign languages) and modern technologies;
– to critically observe and interpret diversified social and political phenomena and see their mutual relations and dependencies, with particular attention given to Eastern studies phenomena;
– to apply the theoretical knowledge in the field of Eastern studies to complete professional tasks and independently formulate research hypotheses in this area based on the knowledge of research methods and techniques;
– to present their own concepts, justify them and confront them with the views of other students on the basis of various authors' works, in the framework of a variety of theoretical currents of Eurasian studies;
– to collect, prioritise, process and analyse data, prepare written assignments and oral presentations (including those involving debate) in Polish and in foreign languages in accordance with the CEFR B2+ level for Languages, with the use of a variety of theoretical approaches, sources and specialist terminology;
– to interact and cooperate in a team with a diversified structure and interests, playing various roles, including the leading ones;
– to independently and critically expand and improve their knowledge and skills related to the interdisciplinary dimension as well as inspire and motivate others to improve their qualifications.
Social skills: the graduate is prepared
– to independently and critically expand and verify as well as make practical use of knowledge (including interdisciplinary knowledge) and sources of scientific and journalistic information in the completion of professional tasks;
– to prioritise tasks defined by themselves and others which relate to their educational, study and professional objectives;
– to represent (through formal and informal activities) the interests of different social groups, taking into account the political, economic and legal aspects of the initiatives taken;
– to act in accordance with the spirit of entrepreneurship, purposefulness, creativity and reliability;
– to identify and resolve professional dilemmas (including the ethical ones) and demonstrate commitment to the public sphere.
