Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the second cycle studies in Administration, the graduate:
1) has acquired extensive knowledge of the nature of science of law and administration, its position among social sciences, and the typical social structures and institutions (political, legal and economic) and their basic elements,
2) has acquired in-depth knowledge of the various fields of law, and in particular of administrative and legal sciences, as well as other selected social sciences; is acquainted with the origins and the evolution of particular legal institutions; shown familiarity with different views on particular legal institutions represented in the scholarship; has acquired in-depth knowledge of the content of the courses chosen within curriculum specialisation (European integration, public finances, tax administration, or administration of the law enforcement services),
3) has extensive knowledge about the system and organs of government in Poland, and in particular about the organs of the State and local governments, as well as about the existing relationships between these structures,
4) has in-depth knowledge of the legal systems, both national and international, relations within these systems and of the connections of the Polish law to international law and, in particular, to the EU law;
5) is familiar with the rules of establishment and development of individual enterprises and has the knowledge necessary to establish and conduct individual business
6) is able to explain and interpret the legal notions taught within the curriculum; utilise adequate terminology of the particular fields of study taught during the programme,
7) correctly uses selected legal norms and principles, solving particular problems of law areas relevant to administrative studies, and, in particular, the ones covered by specialisation courses chosen by the graduate in accordance to their interests; search for and find legal foundations, case law and literature on the researched subjects; apply ethical principles and as well as, independently put forward solutions to a particular problem and take decisions..
8) is prepared to independently work at higher levels of state and local government administration management, as well as to manage enterprises, non-governmental organizations, institutions of culture, political parties organs, as well as to undertake directive functions in civil service; also use the acquired knowledge to resolve problems arising at work.
9) uses complex knowledge of administrative law, budgeting, administration and functioning of the institutions both in Poland and in the European Union, in order to independently solve problems, develop and implement of projects, organize work-groups and to lead them, and to take decisions respecting human rights and ethical standards; prepare documents and papers on particular issues and independently search for all range of sources.
10) prepared to undertake research; be able to prepare projects of social dimension, taking into account all possible legal, economic and political aspects (which shall include preparation and implementation of the projects co-financed by the European Union.)
