Ogólna charakterystyka

Program europeistyka – integracja europejska o profilu praktycznym stawia sobie za cel przygotowanie studentów do pracy w charakterze urzędnika struktur unijnych i krajowych pracujących w obszarze spraw europejskich. Celowi temu przyświeca kompozycja efektów kształcenia i struktura programu nauczania. Realizacja programu umożliwia przygotowanie do pracy w instytucjach UE, administracji publicznej szczebla rządowego i samorządowego oraz instytucjach organizacji międzynarodowych. Absolwent posiada dodatkowo wiedzę o zasadach zatrudniania i administrowania w instytucjach UE oraz o zarządzaniu sprawami unijnymi w krajach członkowskich.

Zajęcia będą prowadzić zarówno nauczyciele akademiccy, jak i osoby posiadające umiejętności praktyczne w wybranych dziedzinach.

Sylwetka absolwenta

Celem programu studiów pierwszego stopnia na kierunku europeistyka – integracja europejska w profilu praktycznym jest wyposażenie studenta w wiedzę i kompetencje, które pozwolą podjąć aktywność zawodową w sferze administracyjnej (w wymiarze europejskim i krajowym). Studenci nabędą umiejętność wykorzystania zdobytej wiedzy w pracy zawodowej, w szczególności w obszarze rozwiązywania problemów zawodowych, uczestniczenia w pracy zespołowej, kierowania małymi zespołami ludzkimi, komunikowania z otoczeniem, zbierania, hierarchizowania, przetwarzania i przekazywania informacji.

Program kształcenia zakłada uzyskanie przez studenta biegłej znajomości języka obcego na poziomie B2 Europejskiego Systemu Opisu Kształcenia Językowego Rady Europy oraz umiejętności posługiwania się językiem specjalistycznym niezbędnym do wykonywania zawodu.

Realizacja programu kształcenia wpaja potrzebę dalszego kształcenia jako warunku rozwoju zawodowego i przygotowuje do podjęcia studiów II stopnia zarówno na kierunku europeistyka, jak i na innych rodzajach studiów w obszarze nauk społecznych.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge: the graduate knows and understands
– the nature of social sciences and their place in the system of sciences, especially the relations between the subdisciplines forming part of the European studies, i.e. administration, law, economics, political sciences and public policy sciences oriented towards a practical application in the sphere of administrative and clerical activities and entrepreneurship;
– the evolution of the state, its structure and its role in contemporary processes of integration and globalisation;
– the role of the human being and the citizen constituting diverse socio-occupational structures, their status and rights and the principles of their functioning within these structures at the national and European level;
– the forms and levels of presence of the European Union in the international political and economic relations;
– the administrative structure of the EU and European states as well as the normative and functional-structural conditioning of the competences of the EU authorities, the state and local authorities of the Member States and their mutual relations;
– the structure and conditioning of various public policies pursued by European countries and the European Union;
– the European market with the presence of EU Member States and their economies;
– the impact of the EU on Member States and neighbouring countries, and the mutual relations between the EU and European countries;
– the principles for establishing and developing a business in the EU market, the functioning of the public and private sectors and their mutual relations as well as the cooperation to achieve the socio-economic objectives of the EU and the Member States;
– the characteristics of the legal and social norms which constitute and regulate European social structures and institutions, including intellectual property rights along with their sources, specificities, evolution and influence on human behaviour;
– the sources, methods and tools for obtaining scientific and administrative information in the EU area;
– the views on the EU structures, institutions and its day-to-day operations, including the sources of these views;
– the economic, legal and social conditioning of activities of private and public entities in the EU political system, including the concepts in the field of industrial property, copyright law and State secrets protection, protection of personal and commercial data of public and private entities, access to non-confidential information.


Skills: the graduate is able
– to observe, interpret, analyse and describe social processes and phenomena, including the relationships that occur between the phenomena and processes of the political-administrative and socio-economic sphere in Europe and in the European countries;
– to use the conceptual framework and nomenclature of institutions and procedures in the European Union;
– to analyse the conditioning and mechanisms of functioning of selected EU and Member State institutions;
– to forecast social processes and phenomena and their practical consequences with the use of standard methods and tools appropriate to social sciences, in particular as regards the socio-political and economic phenomena of the European Union and European countries;
– to use normative systems of general application and selected standards and rules specific to certain institutions and structures in order to properly manage and govern the institution and its affairs and to solve tasks related to their competence;
– to manage the workplace, applying the skills acquired in the course of training and internships, act entrepreneurially and implement the concept of lifelong learning;
– to analyse solutions to concrete problems in the social, political and economic field and suggest effective and ethical ways of solving these problems;
– to develop and present research results and apply them to analyse and solve scientific problems in addition to implementing solutions to practical social problems appropriate to European studies and the workplace in public administration;
– to prepare written assignments in English and Polish, both individually and in groups, on political, social, cultural and economic issues of Europe and the European Union, applying basic notions, theoretical approaches and varied sources of information appropriate to European studies;
– to prepare individual and group oral presentations in Polish and English on political, social, cultural and economic issues of Europe and the European Union with the use of basic notions, theoretical approaches and varied sources of information appropriate to European studies;
– to speak a foreign language in the field of European studies in accordance with the requirements of the CEFR B2 level.

Social skills: the graduate is prepared
– to recognise the significance of knowledge and the enrichment of professional experience throughout life;
– to fulfil professional roles responsibly, to build professional traditions and to work cooperatively in a group with a heterogeneous structure and tasks, demanding ethical behaviour of themselves and others;
– to initiate and prioritise tasks defined by themselves and others which relate to social objectives and are in the public interest;
– to correctly identify and resolve dilemmas related to the exercise of the profession of an official and administrative employee on the basis of legal provisions and internal codes;
– to take part in civic initiatives and projects, considering their socio-political and economic implications;
– to be creative and entrepreneurial in the context of seeking and generating new jobs.
