1. Learning outcomes:
A graduate of first cycle degree studies in the field of Oriental Studies - Mongolian and Tibetan Studies:
- has basic knowledge of the place and importance of Oriental studies in the humanities and their specificity in relation to the subject and methodology
- has organized general knowledge (including terminology, theory and methodology) in the scope of cultural studies
- knows and understands basic philosophical trends and terms as well as the role of philosophical reflection in culture shaping processes
- has basic knowledge in the range of theory of humanities (literary studies or linguistics or history) necessary to understand chosen cultural aspects
- has detailed and organized knowledge of literature and writings of chosen regions in the Orient or Africa; can name and characterize most important phenomena/trends/literary texts/writings of chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- has detailed and organized knowledge of history of chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- has detailed and organized knowledge of philosophy and religion of chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- has detailed and organized knowledge of art and aesthetics in chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- has detailed and organized knowledge of socio-cultural issues in chosen regions in the Orient or Africa within the scope of natural environment and ethnic, demographic and political situation
- can name and characterize basic cultural phenomena of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa
- has organized knowledge of natural, geopolitical and economic environment and their importance for the - historical and contemporary situation of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa
- has extensive knowledge of language(s) of the Orient or Africa (its/their structure, history, script)
- is aware of the complex nature of a chosen Oriental or African language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of a given region in the Orient or Africa
- is aware of the linguistic variety and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world
- has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from a chosen Oriental or African language into Polish
- demonstrates basic grasp of contemporary cultural life of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa
- knows the state of research in chosen aspects pertaining to a chosen region in the Orient or Africa
- knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of chosen theories and schools of research within the scope of cultural
and literary studies, linguistics, philosophy and religion studies and history
- knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of local traditions in chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- knows and understands the basic terms and rules of copyright and protection of intellectual property
