Economics, full-time, first cycle programme (S1-PRK-EK)

Polish+ is a five-year first-cycle study program organized by the University of Warsaw and Sichuan University. During the first two years of studies at Sichuan University, Chinese students learn about Polish language and culture. Then, at the University of Warsaw, they continue their Polish language studies at the Faculty of Polish Studies for a year. For the next two years, they gain specialist knowledge at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies the Faculty of Economic Sciences. Graduates of Polish+ receive two Bachelor's diplomas: one from Sichuan University in Polish Language and Literature and the other from the University of Warsaw in economics or international relations.

First cycle degree - licencjat - in economics, speciality: business economics
First cycle degree - licencjat - in economics, speciality: international economics
First cycle degree - licencjat - in finance and accounting

The graduate of this specialization:
- has basic knowledge of the functioning of international capital, labour, and currency markets;
- knows the instruments used to settle transactions on foreign markets;
- knows and understands the processes of monetary and economic integration and their consequences for private and public entities;
- has basic knowledge of the rules of operation of international economic institutions and the rules established by them for international exchange and commercial aspects of intellectual property law;
- can apply micro and macroeconomic models of foreign trade, international production, and international finance for empirical analyses, including the use of econometric tools;
- can use the instruments used to make and settle transactions on foreign markets;
- can analyse the processes of monetary and economic integration and their effects on private and public entities;
- can conduct business analysis in the public and private sector and apply qualifications and legal and professional standards in accounting and management to make strategic and operational decisions in enterprises operating on foreign markets;
- can prepare reports and present effectively the results of independent analyses, also in a foreign language at the minimum B2 level, in particular for the needs of international institutions and markets; and
- is prepared to participate in the preparation of projects in the field of analyses of international economies and markets for entities operating in various sectors of the economy.
