BA Seminar: Race in American Culture 4219-ZS044
This seminar focuses on the theories and practices of “race” in the US. Over the course of the semester, participants will continue their research and development of their theses. Time will be devoted to work on writing and analytical skills. The readings list for the course will comprise texts selected for their usefulness for the specific research interests of the participants, as well as some identified by them personally.

In order to pass the course, a participant has to submit their BA thesis for review.
Bibliography
The reading list is aligned with the research focus of the participants. Among the authors whose works are likely to be included are Angela Davis, Stuart Hall, bell hooks, James Baldwin, Hazel Carby, and Henry Louis Gates.
