Jewish Diaspora in Latin America 4206-FS129
The course is aimed at presenting the history of Jews in South America – an issue virtually unknown in Poland. Since arriving in the 15th Century (or possibly earlier) people of Jewish descent in various degrees but continuously have taken part in shaping societies and states of the continent. For many of them Latin America was the mythical “promised land”. Jews and their culture constitute an inherent part of Latin American reality.
