K_W01 to an in-depth degree chosen facts, theories, institutions, processes,
and phenomena related to the field of studies teaching foreign languages: linguistics, pedagogy and education studies, psychology, and, optionally, those related to the study areas relevant to the teaching of social studies which have practical application in teaching foreign languages at the third educational stage and in adult and higher education
K_W02 essential terminology relating to: linguistics, pedagogy and education studies, psychology, relevant to the teaching of foreign languages, and possibly terminology relating to teaching social studies
K_U01 search, analyse, evaluate, select and use information, using a variety of
sources and methods, including advanced information and communication techniques, in Polish and English and, optionally, in French or German
K_U02 individually plan and implement, using also communication and
information techniques, typical and innovative projects connected with
teaching foreign languages in secondary schools, vocational schools, in
adult and higher education and in other educational institutions involved
in teaching foreign languages, optionally in teaching social studies at
the third educational stage
K_U03 evaluate and conduct a critical analysis of the quality of foreign
language teaching and, optionally, the quality of teaching social studies;
diagnose the needs, abilities and potential of every learner, as well as design and implement individually tailored teaching and educational programs
K_U07 assess the suitability of a variety of methods, procedures and best
practices, and select and apply the appropriate approach with the goal
of accomplishing tasks and solving problems related to foreign language teaching and/or teaching social studies
K_U12 formulate and test hypotheses to conduct a critical analysis of their own
actions and identify possible areas for change in the future
K_U19 prepare written work in both Polish and English, optionally in French or
German, relevant to their field of studies, at an advanced level, on specific issues, using advanced theoretical approaches and a variety of sources
K_U27 continuously acquire knowledge and develop their professional
competences in teaching foreign languages and, optionally, social studies using a variety of sources (in Polish and English, optionally in French or German) and new technologies (ICT)
K_K01 pursue lifelong learning
K_K02 critically reflect on the level of their skills and knowledge, constantly
develop professionally and personally, self-assess their competences, improve their skills, plan their development and training, consult experts in case of difficulties

Assessment criteria
Requirements for receiving a grade:
- Participation in in-class debates and discussions
- completion of a project concerning professional development of teachers (the complete project must be submitted before the end of the semester)
- completion of Kampus platform tasks within the set deadlines, including the submission of specified parts of the project (asynchronous)
- being prepared for classes and active participation (being familiar with selected literature and materials, participation in discussions, presentations concerning the topics covered in class)
- attendance: one absence allowed
The grading criteria for asynchronous tasks include (and may differ depending on the task):
- keeping the deadlines
- properly following the instructions
- completion
- text organisation
- argumentation/justification
Grading scale:
100%-93%: 5,0 (bdb)
92%-85%: 4,5 (db+)
84%-77%: 4,0 (db)
76%-69%: 3,5 (dst+)
68%-60%: 3,0 (dst)
59%-0%: 2,0 (ndst)
The final grade is a weighted average, based on the grades for:
- debates, discussions and oral presentations (K_W01, K_W02, K_U03, KU07, K_U012, K_K02, K_K13, K_U27);
- online and offline tasks - depending on the task difficulty (K_W01, K_W02, K_U01, K_U02, K_U03, K_U19, KU27);
- the project on the topic of “the plan of realisation of criteria for assessing the performance of a beginner-teacher” - a document designed by the students concerning the pedagogical activities (conditions, problems, activities) of a chosen educational institution: kindergarten, primary school or secondary school. The assessment of the plan concerns the theoretical issues discussed during classes (K_W01, K_W02), the ability to reconstruct and describe professional activities(K_U01, U02, U03, U07, U12, U19) and social competences (K_K01, K02, K07, K13), including the ability to work in a group while constructing the basis for the project (K_K07)
The average is calculated based on the weights of the following categories of tasks:
1. debates, discussions and presentations: 20%
2. online and offline tasks: 30%
3. project: 50%
1 absence is allowed during offline classes.
