The class topics include the following:
• Verbal communication - the role of the message, the speakers and addresses. Analyzing the social groups and matching the message to resonate with the group in terms of content and style of expression.
• Basic principles and type of interpersonal communication and public speaking. Informational and persuasive message. Defining communication goals.
• Etiquette for written correspondence, traditional and electronic
• Ethics and esthetics of speech as elements of language culture
• Emotions in communication. Whether and how to express feelings and empathy.
• Building authority, credibility and confidence.
• The specificity of the conflict. Conflict resolution by negotiation and mediation. Understanding and reaching agreement.
• Nonverbal communication: effective voice - the basic principles of voice emission; body as a communication tool
• Communication barriers. The most common communication and negotiation mistakes.
• Active Listening – the ability to build a good relationship

The student can prepare a public speech and presentation and is able to apply speaking techniques as well as has the knowledge how to communicate through the visual channel.

The student can present their own ideas and solutions. Can use arguments and present them in both informative and persuasive messages. He knows the techniques of building authority and credibility.

The student consciously adjusts the content and style of expression to the addresses. Being able to analyze the addresses in making specific choices in language, arguments, etc. adopting the appropriate behaviors and roles.

Assessment criteria
Teaching methods: lectures and workshops
Assessment criteria: activity during class exercises and class participation.
1. Class attendance: for the 5th grade - 80% attendance, for the 4th grade: at least 70% attendance, for the 3rd grade: at least 50% attendance.
2. Activity in classes: participation in discussions, participation in exercises, work in pairs and groups, performing assigned homework.
