The aim of the course is to develop language proficiency in specialized English in the
areas of business, administration, and institutional communication, with particular emphasis on the context of
civic education. The classes support students in improving the language skills
necessary for teaching secondary school students, especially in situations
requiring the use of English as the language of instruction for a second subject.
The program content includes vocabulary and grammatical structures typical of the language of public administration,
social and economic institutions, analysis and production of specialized texts, development of
the ability to conduct discussions and arguments in English in the context of social, civic, and institutional topics,
exercises in translating and paraphrasing specialized content, and
developing awareness of register and style in professional communication.

Graduates are able to:
identify and correct typical linguistic errors in specialized English relevant to business and public administration at the C1 level (S_U01)
use English in speech and writing at the C1 level, applying vocabulary and structures relevant to teaching civic education (S_U03)
use the acquired language knowledge to communicate in English with recipients from business and administrative circles (S_U04)
Graduates are ready to:
analyze and evaluate their knowledge and content provided by the media and public administration institutions (S_K01)
Assessment criteria
he final grade is determined on the basis of the results obtained using the accepted assessment methods, in accordance with the specified weights.
The use of AI tools and technologies supporting language processing is permitted only with the consent of the instructor and after prior approval of their scope of application. The use of such tools without the consent of the instructor and prior agreement will be treated as a violation of the principles of independence, resulting in the work being considered non-independent and receiving a failing grade.

Mid-term and final written tests (S_U01, S_U03; weight: 40%)
Group project presentation (S_U04; weight: 30%)
Partial assignments in written form (S_U01, S_U03, S_K01; weight: 30%)
