The course includes training in creating texts with specific communicative functions, using complex language structures to build compound sentences. The aim of the course is the correct application of appropriate logical connectors as well as tenses and moods.
Course topics:
1. Types of texts - communicative functions and linguistic markers.
2. Expressing cause-and-effect relationships in different types of texts.
3. Expressing purpose.
4. Expressing condition and hypothesis.
5. Expressing comparison.
6. Expressing concession and opposition.
7. Expressing doubt and uncertainty.
8. Expressing emotions.
9. Expressing the timing of events: precedence, simultaneity, and subsequence.

COURSE COMPLETION
The basis for passing the course is:
1. Attendance in classes—the student is allowed 2 absences.
2. Student's self-study on the Kampus platform (minimum 60%).
3. Passing partial tests on specific material sections (minimum 60%).
4. Final test covering all material (minimum 60%).
Methods and Criteria for Assessment
Students are graded on a 300-point scale, divided as follows:
1. Exercises on the Kampus platform (student's self-study) - 100 points
2. Partial written assignments (4 x 25 points) - 100 points
3. Final test (1 x 100 points) - 100 points
The final grade is calculated according to the following scale (passing threshold: 60%):
60%-69% (180–207 points): 3
70%-79% (208–237 points): 3.5
80%-85% (238–255 points): 4
86%-92% (256–276 points): 4.5
93%-100% (277–300 points): 5
