To this end, the course provides integrated training in all language competencies: speaking, writing, reading, and listening comprehension throughout the semester.
By completing the course, the student understands a wide range of difficult, longer, and complex texts, including specialized, scientific, and literary texts. They express themselves using formulations at an appropriate level of language proficiency, construct statements concerning complex issues, summarize information from written or spoken sources coherently, reproducing the theses contained therein.
The student possesses basic knowledge of translation principles, including an understanding of the differences between the source and target languages. They are able to identify and apply basic translation procedures (such as calque, transposition, and adaptation), avoid literal translation, and adjust the language register to the context. They understand the role of culture and conventions in the translation process.
The student is able to participate in discussions, presenting theses and arguments, precisely formulating their views and statements on complex issues. They develop individual issues within them and conclude them with an appropriate conclusion.

• Principles of passing the course
The prerequisite for passing the course is attendance at classes
(two absences in the whole semester are permissible) and timely completion of all partial tasks scheduled for completion both during the classroom and on the e-learning platform.
The final grade is determined on the basis of the results obtained in the adopted assessment methods and criteria, according to the given weights.
The use of AI tools and technologies supporting language processing is allowed only with the consent of the instructor and with prior approval of the scope of their use.
The use of such tools without the instructor's permission and prior agreement will be treated as a violation of the rules of independence - resulting in the work being considered non-dependent and a failing grade.
• Assessment methods:
1. written and oral assignments - 40%.

After receiving credit for the course, the student takes an oral and written examination.
- Oral and written examination
- Oral (50% ); the student presents his/her hitherto scientific path and then presents in accordance with the academic criteria the topic of his/her master's thesis, argues and justifies the choice of the topic (preparation for the master's thesis defence).
- Written : critical essay (50%); argumentation, coherence, linguistic correctness will be assessed
