Teaching practice: the pedagogical and psychological component for primary schools 4100-2SPRPEDPSYCHO
Scope of psychological-pedagogical practice (symbols of specific learning outcomes from the standard of education preparing for the teaching profession are given in brackets):
As part of the internship, the student gets acquainted with the environment and tasks characteristic of a primary school (B.3.W1.), gets acquainted with the organisation, work plan, statute, upbringing-preventive programme, programme for the implementation of vocational counselling and rules for ensuring the safety of students in and outside the institution (B.3.W2., B3.W3.).
The essence of this part of the internship is the analysis of psychological and pedagogical phenomena occurring in student-teacher relations, as well as in groups of children in the age range of 6-14 years. On the basis of observations of parenting lessons, the student draws conclusions about the interaction of the educator with students and how to plan and conduct this type of classes (B.3.U1.). The student also participates in subject lessons and reflects on the observed ways of integrating care and teaching activities (B.3.U2.). The trainee also observes teachers monitoring student activities outside regular classes, as well as, where possible, the work of the pedagogical council and the class teachers' team (B.3.U4., B.3.U3.).
Under the supervision of the mentor-tutor, the trainee plans and conducts his/her own educational activities, appropriate to the current needs and developmental stage of the students (B.3.U5.). Pedagogical situations and events observed or experienced during the internship become the subject of the student's reflection and self-reflection (B.3.U6.). In doing so, the intern demonstrates a readiness to interact with the internship supervisor and other teachers (B.3.K1.).
The exact course of the internship is described in the Internship Regulations, available on the course page on the Kampus platform.
