(in Polish) Hydrogeologia z hydrogeochemią, ścieżka B 4030-HYDROG-CW-SB
The exercises are devoted to:
• practical training in laboratory methods for determining hydrogeological parameters: grain-size analysis, tall columns, permeameter, Reynolds tube;
• assessment of the hydraulic conductivity coefficient based on field data from pumping tests – Forchheimer-Rosłoński method;
• preparation of hydroisohypse and hydroisobath maps (methods of interpolation and interpretation of hydrogeological data, including assessment of groundwater–surface water interactions);
• estimation of aquifer recharge based on the infiltration coefficient and the groundwater table fluctuation method;
• evaluation of baseflow from a catchment and environmental flow in a watercourse;
• assessment of spring regime;
• processing groundwater chemical analysis results and assessing the quality of hydrochemical data (ion balance, analytical error, and water quality assessment);
• determination of hydrogeochemical background and anomalies using statistical and graphical methods, with interpretation of their spatial distribution;
• independent preparation and presentation of a selected topic related to:
- the drought phenomenon in a chosen region/country/climate, including the role of local hydrogeological conditions and technical solutions for mitigating its effects;
- sustainable management of mineral, medicinal, or brine water resources, addressing a selected water type, deposit, region, hydrogeological structure, or associated threats.

Assessment criteria
Course Credit Requirements:
• Credit is awarded based on the total number of points from the written test (K), graded graphical–computational assignments completed during the course (P), and a selected topic prepared in written form and presented in class (T);
• The minimum number of points required to pass is: K + P + T > 50%;
• Each assignment must be completed individually or in a group (laboratory reports), within a 2-week deadline, and must exceed 50% of the maximum points available for that task;
• Failed assignments must be corrected and resubmitted within a 2-week deadline;
• The selected topic must be submitted in written form and presented in class, earning more than 50% of the available points and delivered by the agreed deadline;
• If the required number of points is not achieved, a resit exam in written form will be required;
• The number of points available for each assignment and the test will be announced during the first class of the semester;
• A maximum of 2 absences from class is permitted.
