The learning outcomes assigned to this course support the implementation of programme learning outcomes specific to the following study programmes: Interfaculty Studies in Environmental Protection (MSOŚ – BA and MA), Sustainable Development (MA), Global Environment and Development (MA), and Animal Protection (MA).
They particularly refer to the development of communication competences, interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration skills, and active engagement in activities promoting sustainable development and environmental protection.

Interfaculty Studies in Environmental Protection (MSOŚ – BA and MA)

K_W02 – knows and understands the interrelations between different natural sciences and between biotic and abiotic components of the environment in the context of environmental protection.
K_W07 – knows the structure and functioning of environmental protection institutions and systems.
K_W13 – understands basic methods and technologies used for environmental protection and restoration.
K_W15 – understands the significance of renewable energy use and related processes.
K_U02 – is able to search for and analyse information using ICT tools.
K_U04 – can communicate on environmental issues with audiences of varying expertise.
K_U12 – is able to use arguments related to sustainable development in discussions and practical activities.
K_U15 – can cooperate effectively in team-based practical activities.
K_K01 – is ready to promote environmental protection principles and engage in environmental education.
K_K02 – takes responsibility for the results of individual and team work.

Sustainable Development (MA)

K_W01 – knows and understands the concept of sustainable development in environmental, social and economic dimensions.
K_W02 – understands global and local environmental, social and economic challenges and their interconnections.
K_W03 – knows the methods and procedures for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
K_W05 – understands the principles of responsible implementation of sustainability practices.
K_U01 – can initiate and participate in teams developing sustainability strategies.
K_U02 – is able to work in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral teams.
K_U05 – can co-organise activities promoting sustainable development.
K_U06 – can take part in international and local initiatives related to environment and development.

Global Environment and Development (MA)

Animal Protection (MA)

K_W03 – knows and understands legal, ethical and social aspects of animal protection.
K_W07 – knows principles of social communication and public outreach in animal protection.
K_U05 – can prepare and present educational and informational materials on animal protection.
K_U07 – can co-organise and conduct educational and promotional activities.
K_K01 – is ready to promote the principles of humane animal treatment.
K_K02 – can cooperate in a team to implement educational and outreach tasks.

The assessment is based on the student’s level of activity. The main criteria include engagement in the preparation and implementation of activities promoting sustainable development, participation in events organised by or in cooperation with UCBS, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The student’s ability to communicate environmental topics, prepare a short presentation or informational material, and the quality and delivery of the content are also assessed.
