Administration in environmental protection 4030-AwOŚ
During the lecture, the student learns about the public administration system. Learns about conceptual networks related to the division of administration into central and local, central and local government. Becomes familiar with the scope of jurisdiction and competences of various environmental protection administration bodies. The student learns the concept of the supreme administrative bodies and is able to indicate the supreme bodies in the field of environmental protection and their role. Next, the student learns about the organization of such inspections and offices as: the environmental protection inspection or the environmental protection directorate. The role of local government bodies is presented: the tasks and competences of municipal, district and voivodeship bodies in environmental protection. Finally, the legal basis for employment in environmental protection offices is presented (basic employment requirements, rights and obligations of employees and administration officials).

After completing the lecture, the student:
- knows the divisions of public administration into central and territorial administration, local government administration and government administration,
- understands the concepts of tasks and competences and the differences between these concepts,
- is able to indicate environmental protection administration bodies and their affiliation to particular types of public administration,
- knows the basic conditions of employment in the offices of the competent authorities
in the field of environmental protection.
Assessment criteria
Passing the lecture on the basis of a written examination covering the conceptual framework of the public administration system (government and local government, central and local, task and competence) and knowledge of the structures of environmental protection administration, including the properties of individual bodies.
