The course consists of a lecture component and a practical component. The practical part is conducted in the form of a computer laboratory.
The list of topics covered is as follows:
1. Introduction to the issues of visualization and visual analysis
2. Introduction to the VisNow visualization system
3. Introduction to the data structures used in the VisNow system
4. Basic methods for presenting scalar data independent of spatial dimension and algorithms for presenting two-dimensional data; data-to-color mapping
5. Three-dimensional data and its visualization; analysis of vector and multi-component data
6. Point data and its visualization
7. Image data processing (e.g., denoising, differential operations)
The order of topics and the level of detail in their realization may be subject to minor changes.
