Practice 4010-PRKa
The course involves completing professional internships in institutions and companies that use information technologies. Internships may be carried out at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling of the University of Warsaw, in IT companies, or in organizations that use information technologies in their operations.
The aim of the internship is to consolidate and develop professional skills and to improve social competences in a real work environment. During the internship, students have the opportunity to apply in practice the knowledge acquired during their studies, in particular in the areas of programming, data analysis and processing, design and maintenance of IT systems, the use of programming tools.

The student knows and understands:
W1 - at least one programming language in depth
W2 - Health and safety principles for working with a computer in a forced position. [K_W14]
The student is able to:
U1 - Obtain reliable information from various sources, such as literature and databases, in both Polish and English, and integrate the collected data, interpret and critically evaluate it, draw conclusions, and formulate and convincingly justify their own opinions [K_U01]
U2 - analyze selected IT problems [K_U09]
The student is ready to:
K1 - Establish and maintain cooperation and strive to achieve team goals through appropriate planning and organization of work
K2 - Independently pursue agreed research goals [K_U02]
K3 - Work systematically and overcome challenges standing in the way of achieving the established goal [K_U03]
Assessment criteria
Passing the course according to the "Rules for Implementing Professional Internships in the Field of Computational Engineering".
Bibliography
Literature individually agreed with the internship supervisor at the place of internship.
