1) World economy - evolution, transformations in the structure and system of production, entities and their importance
2) The main theories of international exchange - classical, neoclassical, contemporary
3) The main areas of international exchange - the movement of services, capital, technical knowledge and labor
4) Exchange rates and currency policy
5) Issues related to the functioning of the European economic and monetary union
6) The international financial market - its segments and importance
7) Major international organizations in MSG and their role
8) Foreign trade policy
9) WTO- genesis, role, negotiation rounds
10) Regional processes of economic integration and their importance for the world economy

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student:
Knowledge:
- recognizes the mechanisms and instruments of the modern world economy
- understands the basic theories and problems in the field of international economic relations
- knows the principles of operation of various exchange rates, the flow of production factors
- knows the operation of organizations dealing with international economic, financial and trade relations
- has comprehensive knowledge of modern international trade
Skills:
- identifies key problems and the essence of international economic relations,
- knows how to identify the main phenomena occurring in the world economy,
- knows how to define the interests of the main participants of the world economy,
Competences:
- The student is prepared to work in institutions dealing with the subject of international trade, is aware of the changes taking place in the world economy
- can prepare and analyze a chosen research problem
- can analyze the changes taking place in the world economy
Assessment criteria
Test in a combined test and descriptive form; presentation and participation in the discussion
