Learning outcomes
A student that ends the course:
- knows, what are the most significant phenomena in the history of Russian philosophy of history, culture and civilization and who are the main representatives of this philosophy;
- knows the philosophical works that played a significant role in the development of Russian philosophy of history, culture and civilization from 1830’s to XX-th century;
- is able to analyze the philosophical texts;
- is able to discuss the philosophical topics and to make use of his knowledge about Russian philosophy of history, culture and civilization;
- is aware of the relations between the development of philosophical ideas and the social and cultural context;
- is able to make use of the argumentative strategies that he/she got to know thanks to the analysis of the philosophical works;
- is aware of the significance of humanistic and philosophical thought for the shaping of socio-political relations and notions and is able to make use of this awareness in his/her analysis of social reality.
Assessment criteria
The grade will be given on the basis of the participation in the discussion and the essay on topic connected with the subject of seminar and determined with lecturer. Thus, the verification of learning outcomes will be carried out both at the end of the classes and throughout the learning process, for which the discussion held with the seminar participants on the philosophical concepts discussed are primarily intended.
