Latin 3800-DON-LA1
Classes prepare a student to read Latin texts on their own with a dictionary. During the exercises a student studies the Latin inflection, syntax and basic Latin vocabulary which are needed to reading texts of intermediate level.
The winter semester is devoted to studying the Latin inflection (declinations, tenses, personal pronouns, demonstrative). During the summer semester a student is taught Latin syntaxes (ACI, NCI, ablatives absolutus).
The repetition and introducing the new topic are followed by grammatical exercises and texts translating.
