Descriptive grammar of Modern Greek language 3700-FN-1-GJNG

The task of descriptive grammar classes is to familiarize the student with grammatical issues (phonological system, phonetic and
morphological phenomena) and elements of Modern Greek syntax, corresponding to their knowledge of grammar rules at the B1 level of
language proficiency.
Presentation of the basic concepts, categories and phenomena in the field of grammar and syntax of Modern Greek. The classes are
designed to extend and theoretically complement the practical Greek language classes.
- Modern Greek phonetics: letters, sounds, accent, phonetic processes, intonation,
- Parts of speech: nouns and articles (use of the article, gender, number, cases, basic masculine, feminine and neuter declensions,
common nouns and proper names),
- Parts of speech: adjectives (basic types and inflection, grading),
- Parts of speech: pronouns (personal, possessive, interrogative, indefinite, indicative),
- Parts of speech: numerals (cardinal and ordinal),
- Parts of speech: verbs (sides, modes, verb types, basic conjugations, basic tenses, participles),
- Parts of speech: invariant parts of speech (adverbs, prepositions, particles, conjunctions, exclamation marks).
- Basic syntax elements: the construction of a simple sentence and coordinate complex sentences, the use of modes and sides of the
verb, the reaction of the verb, the use of noun cases.
