Assessment criteria
Various types of assignments are scored throughout the semester – the student completes only selected ones in order to collect the points required to pass the course. The assignments are: homework, active participation in classes (participation in discussions, contributions to the Google Classroom platform, presentation of additional examples) and short (6-7K characters) response papers (max. 2 per semester).
Grading scale: 3.0 sufficient (65-70%), 3.5 sufficient plus (71-76%), 4.0 good (77-82%), 4.5 good plus (83-88%), 5.0 very good (89-94%), 5! very good plus (95-100%).
A detailed table of activities and points will be shared with the students during the first class.
Two absences per semester are allowed. The third and fourth absence must be passed with a short (3,000 characters) paper on the class during which the student was absent. Five absences or more will result in inadmissibility for credit. An increase in the number of absences is possible on the basis of a decision by the KJD to grant an Indywidualna Organizacja Studiów / Individual Study Organisation. The number of excusable absences is zero
