Art of Darkness 3700-AL-AD-qTM
This course introduces students to the fundamental elements of Art History by tracing the theme of darkness in technique and topic. We will look at the development, adoption, and rejection of techniques such as shading, undercutting, color modeling, chiaroscuro, and light balance. We will examine artistic developments as we explore the less pleasant topics of humanity such as death, evil, hate, and fear on an art historical walk through Hell.
