Selected Issues of Japanese Language Grammar. Part 2 3600-JA-WZGJ-OW(Z)
The objective of this class is to discuss and reiterate the most important grammatical categories of Japanese that relate to the division of words into parts of speech.
The following topics will be addressed during the course of the class:
1. Expressions of politeness; yōgen (verbs and adjectives), transitive and intransitive verbs
2. Constructions with compound verbs: te iru, te aru, te oku, te iku, te kuru,
3. Constructions with naide and naked; passivum, causativum
4. The optative form, constructions with the participle te, ta form, nai, will, intention, ambiguous verbs and adjectives, adverbs and onomatopoeic expressions, foreign words of gairaigo origin, selected grammatical constructions, idiomatic expressions (with body parts)

Assessment criteria
The student is admitted to the written assessment on the basis of the required attendance in class (2 unexcused absences are allowed).
-two tests during the class (average is calculated)
-student must use correctly the grammatical constructions discussed in class.
