The classes provide knowledge and skills in the Japanese language and t
ranslation theory and practice as well as simultaneous and consecutive interpretation skills. The syllabus covers the basics of translation theory and the grammar and usage of Japanese, and develops competence in the translation of various types of spoken and written texts. Translation workshops will be conducted by experienced translators, Anna Omi i Anna Pindur-Okazaki.

Learning outcomes
The Student, who attended this class can read Japanese characters and analyze text grammatically (N1)
Student translates Japanese texts into Polish. He/She explains and uses in proper way selected grammatical categories of Japanese language.
Assessment criteria
The student is admitted to the written test on the basis of the required attendance (in accordance with the rules of the Faculty of Oriental Studies).
During the written exam the student must correctly use the grammar structures discussed in class.
