History of Japan (Premodern history of Japan) 3600-JA-StHJ-OW

The main thread of this lecture is the political history of Japan, from the prehistory till 1853. We are going to present cultural causes of rising and falling of political systems, to show their characteristics, and influence on the political/cultural shape of Japan. The lecture will be given in the chronological order.
The main emphasis will be placed on the historical processes and key historical events which influenced the political, social and cultural changes in Japan.
