Ph.D seminar 3600-DD-SD-IK
The main purpose of the seminar is to prepare PhD degree candidates to elaborate by themselves PhD thesis and to pass through the PhD exams.
The seminar aims to the broader introduction of the selected linguistic subjects and the appropriate research methods. The provided basic knowledge of the research work methodology concerns the choosing of the research subject, formulating the research problems, choosing the research methods, using the proper argumentation, making use of the data collected, presenting the research results, preparing the bibliography/references.
The seminar aims to help PhD candidates to build their own scientific research workshop and to prepare them to write their PhD thesis.
The seminar also provides with the knowledge of the selected theoretical topics in linguistics and the demonstration of the research methods applied in the domain. Research subjects conform to the interests of students.

Assessment criteria
Seminar active participation required. Two oral and written presentations every semester (one in English) of the research process and results
Practical placement
Preparation for and carrying on 10 hours of lectures/classes on sinological linguistic subjects.
