Ph. D. Seminar 3600-DD-SD-AN
The seminar focuses on developing individual research proposals. It includes research on subject matters, as to the field of study and the topic of the dissertation, as well as availability of source materials and literature. It aims at formulating main research topics of the doctoral thesis and the research program.
The seminar also addresses issues of research methodology and other aspects of research work, including a critical review of the literature.
During the seminar, Ph.D. students present their source materials and literature review related to chosen topics. The discussion focuses on methodology of research and analysis of the data, it also includes formulating arguments and conclusions leading to preparing the project proposal and its main statements. The seminar also includes issues such as formal standards of dissertations and other scientific publications.
