A person after the course knows and understands:
- basic knowledge of the theory of the humanities (literary studies or linguistics or history) necessary for understanding selected aspects of culture - K_W04
- detailed issues of Hittite literature and writing; can name and characterize the most important phenomena and genres of Hittite writing - K_W05
- knows how to search, analyze, evaluate and use information from various sources - K_U01
- is able to read, analyze and interpret Hittite literary texts correctly placing them in a cultural context - K_U06
- can skillfully and substantively argue using the views of other authors - K_U23
- understands the need for lifelong learning - K_K01
- is ready to make others aware of cultural difference and its religious, philosophical, moral and historical sources, as well as its importance for understanding the modern world - K_K05
Assessment criteria
Graded credit. Activity in class and preparation of an encyclopedic entry on a topic chosen by the student.
