Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
- has indepth detailed knowledge (incl. terminology, theory and methodology) within the scope of history and social issues.
- has expanded knowledge on a choice of problems of Oriental/African cultures (with respect to history and social issues) in comparative perspective
Abilities:
- is able to search, analyse and critically make use of information and different sources as well as formulate critical judgements referring to a choice of historical and social issues regarding areas in Asia and Africa
- is able to name roots for cultural differences in Asia and Africa, also using source material
Social competences:
- is open to new ideas and cultural differences
- acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of African countries
Assessment criteria
Basing on attendance, student's engagement during the classes and fulfilment of the tasks.
Up to two absences in one semester are allowed does not influence a grade.
