Knowledge:

o has basic knowledge in the range of theory of humanities (literary studies) necessary to understand chosen cultural aspects [K_W04];

o has detailed and organized knowledge of the Turkish literature and writings from the Tanzimat period to the contemporary times; can name and characterize most important phenomena/trends/literary texts/writings of Turkish literature [K_W05];

o can name and characterize basic cultural phenomena of Turkey [K_W10];

o has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Turkish into Polish [K_W15];

o demonstrates basic grasp of contemporary cultural life of Turkey [K_W16];

o knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of chosen theories and schools of research within the scope of cultural and literary studies [K_W18];

o knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of local traditions in Turkey [K_W19].

Skills:

o can indicate sources of cultural differences between Turkey and other countries [K_U02];

o can read, analyze and interpret literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Turkey and appropriately place them in their cultural context [K_U06];

o can compare and perceive interrelations between chosen literary texts and other works of Turkish culture (film, press, social writing) in the republican period and contemporary times, and the issues within the scope of tradition and modern times [K_U07];

o can analyze most important phenomena/trends in art (painting, sculpture, architecture, other fields) of Turkey [K_U08];

o can indicate most important intellectual problems, dilemmas, aesthetic preferences taking shape inside the culture of Turkey [K_U10];

o can interpret key terms from the culture of Turkey through linguistic/philological analysis [K_U15]

o can properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of Turkey [K_U17];

o has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Turkey in Polish and in Turkish taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of Turkey [K_U21].

Assessment of the degree of assimilation of knowledge passed on during the lecture in the form of an oral exam and presence at the lecture. The student has the right to 2 absences per semester.
