Bachelor's seminar 3600-7-SI3-SL2
This course is designed to help students to:
select a topic to research in Chinese culture and history,
identify the sources and search for the materials referring to the subject,
acquire data (if the topic requires it) to be analyzed,
lay out a plan of the paper and a detailed outline to display the data obtaining criteria, analysis methods, range of the research and all the related items of the paper,
oral present their research, step by step, the arguments and the sections of the paper.
A special attention is paid to research methods, selected materials, data sources and analysis, its interpretation and writing technique

Assessment criteria
Attendance and the final paper are essential. Written assignment in a form of a paper should be completed by the end of summer term (complete draft of paper much earlier). It should provide the research result and expose all the process of obtaining data, theory, the sources and the analysis. In the course of preparing the paper the presentation of the topic should draw the attention of others and prove the topic understandable and interesting
