Proseminar 2 3600-7-MT2-P2
The aim of the course is to learn about methods and methodologies that students can use in their research, preparing papers, articles, bachelor theses, etc. They acquire theoretical knowledge in the historical context, learning the outline of the history of philology and cultural studies as scientific disciplines and the current state of knowledge in the field of selected humanistic methodologies, thanks to which they will more consciously choose the methodology in their research work.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course provided for in the program, student:
- has a basic knowledge of the place and importance of oriental studies in the system of humanities and its specific and methodological specificity [K_W01];
-has the skills needed to prepare a seminar paper [K_U18];
- can select and find studies in Polish and foreign languages, and refer to the basic theoretical approaches [K_U20];
- can search, analyze, evaluate and use information with the use of various sources and studies [K_U01];
- is able to collect information on the subject of interest (libraries, electronic collections, Internet) [K_U16];
- can make fiches, prepare an outline of the work and correctly prepare a bibliography of work and make footnotes [K_U18];
- can develop and present the state of research on a selected topic [K_U18];
- has the ability to present detailed issues [K_U21];
- has the ability to formulate their own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech [K_U22];
- has the ability to substantive argumentation using the views of other authors [K_U23];
can use electronic and internet tools in Polish and Mongolian/ Tibetan [K_U24];
- can communicate with specialists in the field of science and scientific disciplines relevant to the field of oriental studies with the use of modern computer techniques [K_U25];
- can independently acquire knowledge and develop research skills following the instructions of a research tutor [K_U26];
- uses a foreign language at least at
B2 level [K_U11];
is able to apply basic knowledge of the methodology of research on culture at work [K_U19];
- understands the need for lifelong learning [K_K01];
- understands the importance of correct and logical argumentation and proving theses put forward [K_K04].
