Korean Literature and Culture 3600-7-KO2-LKK(L)
After the completion of this course students should be able to perform the general view on the Korean literature, know the historical background of the development of Korean literature, the most outstanding writers, major genders and forms as well as the major genders and forms, such as “hyang-ga songs” and song of Koryǒ (Koryǒ-kayo), “current tune” shijo and “narrative” shijo, long narrative poems kasa and poetry in Chinese hanshi, “old romances” (kodae-sosǒl), as well as the most important achievements of the modern Korean literature and drama formulated at the beginning of the twenty century by the influence of the Western trends including Realism and Naturalism, Expressionism and Surrealism.

K_U21: has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Korea in Polish and in Arabic taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of Korea
